Leather sector in Bangladesh - Possibilities, Scope, limitation and overcome

At the beginning of this site, I got to know about the two institute in Bangladesh that have leather departments. Leather has been divided into three departments at Dhaka University - Leather  Engineering, Footwear Engineering, and Leather 
Products Engineering. Dhaka University's Institute of leather Engineering and Technology (ILET) is Located at Hazaribagh  with  these three departments.

On the other, KUET only has  it as  aa leather engineering  department. Besides  there are diploma course in different institute. This Leather  sector is growing very fast in Bangladesh.

The tanneries are recently shifted in Hemayetpur, Savar fromm Hazaribagh, Dhaka. The aim of  relocation of tanneries does not fulfil. This sector now  passing very difficult time. Foreigner buyers are not interested to order in this condition.

এই সাইটের শুরুতে বাংলাদেশের যে দুইটি প্রতিষ্ঠানে লেদার ডিপার্টমেন্ট আছে তার পরিচিতি জেনে নিই।ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে লেদারকে তিন ডিপার্টমেন্টে ভাগ করা হয়েছে - লেদার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং, ফুটওয়্যার

ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এবং লেদার প্রোডাক্টস ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং। এই তিন ডিপার্টমেন্ট নিয়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের Institute of Leather Engineering & Technology হাজারীবাগে অবস্থিত।
আর KUET এ আছে শুধু লেদার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং ডিপার্টমেন্ট হিসেবে আছে।
এছাড়া ও DUET সহ বিভিন্ন প্রাইভেট ইউনিভার্সিটিতে এই ডিপার্টমেন্ট খোলার চেষ্টা হচ্ছে।কারণ বাংলাদেশে এই লেদার সেক্টর খুব দ্রুত বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে।আর তাই আমার এই সাইটটি খোলা। এই সাইটে আমি লেদার সম্পর্কিত সব তথ্য এক প্লাটফর্ম এ করার চেষ্টা করেছি।
