Leather grading and purpose of leather grading

Leather grading is that the method of sorting out of finished leather into completely different groups as per the quality and cutting value.
Purpose of leather grading:

1. Financial
2. Quality

1. Financial: 

• By financial it is established whether or not the company has bought the consignment of leather at correct price. 
• It can also establish true profit and loss figure's for each clicker.

2. Quality: 

• This is the grading of the leather into different grades to permit the cutting room to issue certain grade of leather for certain styles. 
• Example: Ladies single cut court shoe would be cut from 1^st and 2^nd grade leather. 
• Ladies strap sandal could be cut from 3^rd and 4^rd grade.
