Pattern Engineering: Pattern Engineering can be defined as a process by which pattern are developed to produce a product in a convenient way with maximum productivity at minimum cost.

- Prepare the digitizing layout
- Digitizing the style.
- Check digitize file for errors.
- Translate the digitized file to a graphics.
- Store the file on hard disk.
- Plot the basic pattern for evaluation of digitizing.
- Edit or add digitized lines, if necessary.
- Add offset lines for different allowance.
- Define piece boundary, add fillets and notches.
- Add different lines for drills and stencils.
- Generate pattern assessment for all or selected pieces.
- Define grade specifications.
- Grade the style either normally or apply modifiers for non standard grading.
- Check the graded style using stack and measure function.
- Generate a CUT file for cutting of pattern.
